Nicole Declerck Murray was born in Brussels Belgium, the daughter of an impressionist artist. Schooled in Brussels, she came to America in 1978. She began her art career as a portrait artist working primarily in pencil. Soon she expanded into pen and ink drawings of homes and historic buildings. In time, she also began to paint in oil. Today Nicole works regularly in Pencil, Pen and Ink, Pastels, and Oils. Her specialization is in custom portraits of children, adults, and even pets. She now does a wide variety of original work that you will find on display here in her online gallery and at the new DeClerck Gallery in Plaistow, NH.
